Vampires

So you have just been embraced? Congratulations you are now part of a great race that is stronger, faster, and smarter than your old race. However as a new childe you are probably wondering things about yourself.

Am I dead?

Can I never go in direct sunlight again?

Will I got to hell?

Do I have a soul?

These are all questions you are probably asking yourself. So lets get into it and answer the most obvious question. Yes you are alive. Vampires are as alive as humans the difference between vampires and humans is that you were on the brink of death but not yet dead. Vampires breath, have heartbeat and pulses, and can eat food. So in that way vampires are similar to humans.

Can you go in sunlight? of course. While your new skin and eyes are sensitive to direct sunlight you will not burst into flames. This is a myth such as vampires can't touch crosses. Like I said before you are alive and only the dead can't stand sunlight.

Will you go to hell? The answer is maybe. It depends on your standing with God if you are okay with God then that is all that matters.

Do you have a soul? The answer is yes. Only the dead do not have a soul and you are alive therefore you still have your soul.

Now you are probably worry about the changes you have been coming through since you joined the Kindred. Can you no longer sleep at night, do you see a human and hear the sound of their blood flowing? Do you want to drink blood? This is all normal for your new life. As you grow you will notice new thing like the ability to fly or hear far away. This is as normal as hum,an puberty and very similar.

Vampire Myths

Now lets go on to some vampire myth that may be scaring you.

Will being staked in the heart kill me?
Yes anything that destroys the heart of a living entity will kill it.

Can I swim?
The answer is yes. The old myth of vampires sinking when they fall in still water is a myth also. if fact you probably will be able to swim much better than you did as a human.

Can I look at and hold a cross?
Yes you can. You are not a evil creature of the damned wear a cross if you wish, hand it over your bed you can feel free to do it.

Can I control people by having them look in my eyes?
Sorry but only purebloods and nobles can control people that way they can even control you by just talking.

Can I turn into creatures like a bat?
No that is a myth vampires cannot transform themselves. They can use illusion to make people think they have but in reality they cannot.

Can Vampires eat food?
Yes vampires can. In fact half a vampire nutrients are from human foods. The rest come from blood.

Feeding

Are you having nightmares about feeding?
You are hungry and weak and the only thing that can make it better is drinking someone blood?

Do not be afraid of feeding it is a natural cycle. If you do not feed you could even die. It can seem a scary thing to feed off of human. Knowing that their life and memories now flows through your veins. Here are some tips that will help make it easier to feed.

1.Try not to look them in the eyes

2.If you are afraid of killing them drink only a small amount from each person.

3.Confessing help some new vampires get over their feeding. By confessing to the school priest each time you feed you will soon feel forgiven for doing what you must.

4.Get a support group of other new vampires and feed together. This way you do not feel alone in this.

5. Gain knowledge from your creator. She or He once went through the same problems as you even if they are pureblood or noble they once did not want to feed. Listen to them and they can help you in feeding.

These steps will help you get through a tough time in your new life.

The Law

Every society has laws, and the Vampire empire has rules too that if you do not obey can get you into trouble.

1. Do not break the masquerade.
The masquerade is what's keeping vampires, and humans safe. It keeps humans from knowing about the other world the world of vampires. if you break this rule it is punishable by death.

2.Do not embrace without permission.
This is important. if we embrace everyone then we would have no prey and thus die from starvation. Whoever breaks this law will have their fangs pulled out. They will eventually grow back but during that time you cannot feed so you live off of blood bank blood through a straw.

3.Do not teach the rites to humans.
This is the rule that the school break because human learn here but to counteract the rule those humans become vampires.

4.Do not kill a pureblood.
The purebloods are seen as Gods or kings among the vampires and are close to being worshiped. Therefore the killing of one is taboo and is punishable by death.
